If you want to spend 90 minutes watching the ultimate beauty that is the planet we live on (and I’m not talking about football here) watch this movie. Or just five minutes of it will be enough.
The film was made by by Yann Arthus-Bertrand, who made the book and exhibition ‘Earth from the Air’. So you can probably imagine what that is like as moving pictures…
We recommend watching it in High Definition. (Press pause if it flickers, to let it pre-load.)
The film also comes with a commentary, which explains how the Earth came to be; how it evolved; and the state it is in now.
If you just want to be stunned by the beauty of it all, you can turn off the commentary. But be aware that if you want to save that beauty you need to act now.
This, together with failing availability of cheap oil, is the other half of the twin drivers of why Transition exists.
The film was released in France on 5 June, accompanied by an open air screening for 65,000 people in the Champ des Mars in Paris.
