Community play update

Last night just over thirty people attended the meeting at the URC Hall to hear Jon Oram talk about community plays.

We watched a short film in which people from a group of villages on the Sussex/Kent border talked about their experiences of putting on a community play.

Then Jon, who has helped create 30 community plays in half a dozen countries over the past 25 years, talked further about how community plays work, and answered questions.

There was unanimous support for the idea of a community play for Farnham.

Around half a dozen people put their hands up to form the steering group.

The next step will be for that group to meet and carry out a more detailed feasibility study.
