You get Allotmore in Transition Godalming…

Here’s an idea, “for people who want to grow their own fruit and veg but haven’t the time for a traditional allotment.”

Allotmore is based in just outside Godalming on the south west side. They provide all the tools you need, a shed to keep them in, and a clubhouse for socialising after you’ve dug your patch. They’ve also done a lot of the weeding and ground preparation. And they’ll even dig it for you or water and look after it while you are away on holiday.

At £25/month it seems a bit expensive for a plot that is half the size as the half-allotment that I have. And the website isn’t very clear on exactly what services you will get for your money.

But I am sure that it will appeal to some people, and the more locally-grown food we can have the better.
