School of Artisan Food

Small businesses are the key to job creation. They are also key to a sustainable, vibrant local economy.

Radio 4’s Food Programme, available till Saturday, lists the banking crisis, oil crisis and even the Volcano as factors in food once again becoming a significant business.

This programme talks about the need to regain lost craft skills in food, farming, and fishing, and visits  the new School of Artisan Food, based near Retford in Nottinghamshire.

It was set up with the help of just under £1m invested by the East Midlands Developmnet Agency. Couldn’t we do the same in Farnham?
