Round up of the week: Rob Hopkins visits Waverley // Walthamstowe ecorefurb // Dance like nobody’s watching

As the shape of our next government emerges slowly from the mist, here’s an exciting date for your diaries.
Rob Hopkins, founder of the Transition Movement, writer, teacher, and all-round great guy is coming to Waverley next month. On Monday 7 June he will be talking in Godalming, and people from all three Transition Towns in Waverley are invited.
This is a great chance to heart it from the horse’s mouth, and put any questions you may have to the expert, so please do come and tell all your friends. You can find out more, leave a comment, and download a poster here.

One of the things he might be talking about is the need to ‘eco-refurb’ and insulate our homes. There’s a nice example of a 1900s ‘victorian terrace’ house in Walthamstowe talked about here.

And finally, one of the things that Rob talked about on his blog recently is what can happen if you dance like nobody’s watching. This 3 minute video shows a guy at a music festival, dancing, ‘crazy’, all by himself. And then somehow, for some reason, hundreds of people decide they want to join him. A bit like Nick Clegg really.

Have a great weekend,
From all of us at Transition Farnham
