For several years now, Action Woking has been offering advice to local homes, schools and businesses on how to to cut fuel and water bills.
(They have also established a network of local tradespeople who to install the resulting insulation, boilers, solar panels…)
The scheme (which includes a demonstration house) has been so successful that Surrey county council has now decided to roll the scheme out across the whole of the county as part of the Surrey Improvement Partnership.
To this end they are looking for people in Farnham to take part.
Free training is being given at the end of March (date to be confirmed) in how to carry out an ‘audit’ of your own house and decide what you could do to save the most money, in energy and water.
All you need to do in return is:
- agree to give at least one audit to someone else in your area, and
- attend occasional meetings to discuss feedback on how to improve the scheme
If you can’t make the end of March date, other dates will become available later in the year.
