The brains behind the idea, David Gershon, explains that over half of an average community’s carbon footprint comes from the residential sector.
They have already shown that it is easily possible to achieve a 25% reduction per household. So the only remaining question is how to get more homes to participate.
The campaign now has over 300 communities in the USA trying out their ‘Cool Community’ tools and strategy.
