FREE Home Energy Auditing Training, February

Would you like to learn the basics of undertaking a Home Energy Audit?

Action Surrey is looking for volunteers wishing to learn a new skill and train to be Home Energy auditors. A checklist and audit template is provided along with a CRB check and free training. You can undertake audits in the area where you live; they take about 1- 2 hours and a written report is submitted to the householder.

Action Surrey is funded by the Surrey Improvement Partnership and the eco-open homes event is supported by ICLEI, a network of sustainable cities operating worldwide to raise awareness of saving energy and other environmental challenges.

Oak Tree House is one of the only fully functional demonstration properties in the South of England and has been transformed from an ordinary three-bedroom detached house to a show case property for low carbon living. Throughout the property a range of low cost measures such as LED lighting and low energy appliances have been introduced to help reduce the amount of electricity used in the house.
