Seeds of Freedom and The Jakarta Call at the Farnham Pottery Gallery, Wrecclesham, GU10 4QJ
Two films that take us into Food Sovereignty issues, one highly focussed on seed diversity and the importance of freedom to exchange seed in traditional small farming communities that produce 70% of the world’s food. The other shows us the broad range of issues that activate the movement for food sovereignty as expressed at a recent Via Campesina conference, representing over 200 million members.
We start the evening at 7.00 pm with a potluck supper, bring food to share and you’ll be welcome. This is a gift event: there is no charge as we want you to see these films! After supper we screen the films and follow up with sweets and discussion before finishing at 10.00 pm.
